Negotiation... God's Way draft

If you are regularly involved in negotiation (as I am with radio stations), you might find these principles developed by Ken Sande at Peacemaker Ministries. (www.HisPeace.org) 1) Prepare (pray, get the facts, seek godly counsel, develop all options, and pray, pray, pray!); 2) Affirm the relationships (show genuine concern and respect for others); 3) Understand each other's interests (identify others' concerns, desires, needs, limitations, or fears) and practice empathy; 4) Search for creative solutions (prayerful brainstorming); 5) Evaluate options objectively and reasonably (evaluate, don't argue)
